What does it mean to be generous and why should I care?

• Generosity is sacrifice that changes our statue quo
• Generosity reminds us of the truth:  we are rich, compared to 90% of the world's population
• We will not take our wealth with us when we die...so we should invest it in helping others

What are the benefits of generosity?

• Giving changes our focus from self to others
• We can live obediently to God and enjoy his generosity
• A frugal lifestyle usually helps us get out of debt
• We can use our money to make a significant difference
• We can take a deduction on our taxes

How can I become more generous with my money?

• Create a budget and use it. Spend less and give more.
• Trust God's plan for enjoying money:  "Give First, Save Second, Live on the Rest"
• Include giving on your budget. Give at regular intervals.
